Tucson Citizen copy editor Dave Petruska won a first-place aware from the 2007 Arizona Press Club contest for feature story headlines.

Meriden (Conn.) Record-Journal copy editor Richard A. Mason won honorable mention in headline writing from the Connecticut chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
