The Spokesman Review is thinking about its newsroom and asked a group of younger staffers to come up with some suggestions for improving efficiencies, within certain limits.
Their answers are a little surprising but certainly welcome in this day of "let's get rid of the editors in favor of newsgatherers."
I'm looking forward to reading how this goes, though I'm not sure whether "copy editing wizard" is a human or a Tansa equivalent. It would be interesting to see what the paper's response would be to a complaint if the suggestions brought by younger staffers led to the departure of an unseemly number of older workers, but still, good for the paper for taking a look at itself.
